China’s export credit agency, SINOSURE, is rapidly expanding its role in the global energy market. From traditional infrastructure to cutting-edge green projects, Sinosure is helping scale investments and accelerate energy development worldwide.
Between 2019 and 2024, Sinosure’s total insured and guaranteed business grew from USD$610B to over USD$1 trillion per year.
A significant portion of this growth is in the energy sector, covering power generation, transmission, and industrial energy projects.
Since 2022, Sinosure has been actively tracking and supporting green projects, reflecting China’s commitment to carbon neutrality. Support for renewable and low-carbon energy projects grew from $39B in 2022 to over $60B in 2024.
Energy-related initiatives include solar farms, wind and grid projects, waste-to-energy, and storage solutions across Asia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
By expanding its coverage, SINOSURE is enabling more projects to move from planning to implementation, helping emerging markets and global supply chains scale clean energy infrastructure.
